Problems of the Parental Rights Movement
The
Problems with the Parental Rights Movement series was created one day
based on observations of the current crop of young people who claim they want
to work on the problem or that they are advocates for change. The single
biggest problem is that they have failed to learn from the history of this
movement how to reform the custody laws of the states and keep making the same
mistakes repeatedly and using the same arguments that have failed for the last
20 years.
While they will talk, they fail to listen to those who have been around for years and have seen the mistakes that have been made, have written full bills, have gone toe to toe with the opposition, and beaten them at their own game.
Until they change, they will never make a dent in the problems. It is time for these so-called advocates to grow up and join the adult world where whining, protests, and t-shirts do not work.
